Dell’s servers can be managed remotely using Web-based tools and integrate
network attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) utilities. They
can connect a NAS system across all environments within the same network
infrastructure. This includes both iSCSI and fiber channel direct access
storage.

The PowerEdge family includes offerings for small and mid-sized businesses
as well as enterprises.

Dell’s PowerEdge servers were developed for
businesses looking to scale their capacity. The servers address other uses as well,
including file consolidation, point-of-sale applications, file and print
services, mail and messaging, collaboration, server virtualization, database and
business analytics, ERP, CRM, high-performance computing, software-defined
storage, machine learning and artificial intelligence, IO-intensive workloads,
and SQL databases.

Dell support policies include Web-based support, a toll free support number,
and a portfolio of commissioned enterprise services including deployment
services, training and certification, and a premium support level for quick
problem resolution. Dell’s Web site offers a wealth of self-service options
which include hardware diagnostics, a support library, drivers and downloads,
and other features.
